Patient Communication & Clinical Safety
1.Scope of Care
Firm Hill provides scheduled telemedicine services for eligible adults physically located in Texas.
The Practice does not operate as an emergency department or emergency response service.
2.Emergencies
For severe chest pain, difficulty breathing, signs of stroke, loss of consciousness, or other potentially life-threatening symptoms, call 911 or seek emergency medical care.
Do not use website forms, email, voicemail, or patient portal messages for emergencies.
3.Urgent and Same-Day Care
Same-day consultations may be offered for clinically appropriate non-emergency concerns, subject to physician availability.
A request for a same-day consultation does not guarantee immediate evaluation.
Patients with concerns requiring prompt in-person assessment should seek appropriate urgent or emergency care.
4.Routine Clinical Communication
Routine care discussions, medication management, laboratory review, and treatment adjustments are generally conducted through scheduled consultations.
The Practice will communicate any additional approved messaging procedures and expected response times separately.
5.After-Hours Concerns
Firm Hill's after-hours availability and response procedures will be disclosed to patients before treatment begins.
The absence of an immediate response should never be interpreted as clinical clearance to delay urgent or emergency care.
6.Prescription Requests
Medication prescriptions and renewals require appropriate clinical review.
Submission of a request does not guarantee approval.
Firm Hill does not prescribe controlled substances under its stated practice policy.
7.Diagnostic Results
The Practice will establish and communicate procedures for reviewing, documenting, and communicating laboratory and imaging results, including abnormal or time-sensitive findings.
Patients should follow the instructions provided by their treating physician.
8.Continuity of Care
When telemedicine is insufficient or a patient's needs exceed the Practice's scope, Firm Hill may recommend in-person care, referral, or transfer to an appropriate provider.
Any termination of an established physician-patient relationship will be managed in accordance with applicable professional and legal obligations.
9.Patient Responsibilities
Patients are expected to provide accurate medical information, disclose their physical location during virtual consultations, participate in appropriate follow-up, and communicate material changes in their health through approved channels.
